His second track is worthy enough to relax you on the most stressed out days. I'm shocked that he's not more well known. It's ironic that I am writing about BAFTA here because it is what attraced me to Ludovico Einaudi's music in the first place. Anyway, his music is not for everybody.
Ludovico Einaudi might be better known for his music when it's played at the BAFTA Television and Film Awards remembering those who passed away in the previous year. His music has a calming and wonderful effect already. It has such a whimsical nature. His music is light enough to allow dialogue but it's unforgettable and soothing those of us who mourns the losses.
It's light but meaningful. If you are looking for music to relax, regroup, and calm yourself, Ludovico Einaudi's piano tunes and performance is worth it. So this is my second compact disc by him and I'm not disappointed. This music would be ideal for Pilates and Yoga classes and I would highly recommend his music to be used in such places to allow comfort, peace, and a moment to reflect and de-stress from a stressful life.
my favorite instrument on individual display for my consumption. wow i discovered this guy not 10 days ago and can't stop listening to this cd or divinire. thank you ludovico. i've come full circle now. i've grown up with r&b/hip hop and have explored latin, rock, gospel/christian, country, jazz, dance, alternative, and have now, finally, arrived at classical music. these piano compositions are all i have longed for.
His music is so peaceful, and such a refreshing CD to listen to again and again. Einaudi is great.
;-) Le Onde is a very good album, but not Einaudi's best. If you are an established Einaudi fan, then you will probably want "Le Onde" simply to have a complete collection. One last comment: Einaudi has released most of the sheet music for his work, and it ranges in difficulty from fairly easy to quite advanced. Ludovico Einaudi is, in my opinion, the best composer working today in the nebulous field of "neo-classical" or "new age" or "contemporary piano," whatever you want to call it. The strongest tracks are "Le Onde," "Questa Notte" and "Ombre." If you are new to Einaudi, I'd recommend that you start with the "Echoes" greatest hits collection instead, or "Divenire," his most recent release. I recommend highly "The best of Ludovico Einaudi: Piano solo" sheet music collection. His music has a minimalist flair, reminiscent of Philip Glass (but more melodic than Glass) or Yann Tiersen. Out of deference to the cranky reviewer below, I won't compare Einaudi to John Reich, except to say that Einaudi's pieces have much greater melodic appeal to me than Reich's.
-she says This was for my friend and she is realy thankful. This is amazing cd.
